FILMBASE Partners with Longgao Baolong Foreign Language School for “Local Field Trip” Program
On November 12, FILMBASE welcomed a special group of young visitors—20 seventh-grade students from Longgao Group's Baolong Foreign Language School. Guided by their teachers, they embarked on an extraordinary “local field trip” at FILMBASE.
This event was more than just a tour; it was an immersive experience where technology and education converged. FILMBASE used innovative technology as a medium, showcasing the wonders of light-and-shadow interactions, transparent displays, and smart materials to open a window for students into the world of new materials.

Stepping into the FILMBASE exhibition hall, the first thing that catches your eye is the “glowing” transparent display screen—FILMBASE's self-developed 3D transparent display glass. Students eagerly gather to experience it: make a heart gesture, and the screen showers pink light and shadows; lightly tap your fingertip, and petals dance along with your finger; touch the screen, and leave a unique “I was here” mark. From “viewing” to “interacting,” and from ‘interacting’ to “imagining,” the children experienced the fun and interactivity of technology up close for the first time. FILMBASE's 3D transparent display glass technology pioneers the industry's first “multi-functional integrated transparent interactive display system.” Combining display, dimming, and interaction capabilities, it can be applied to smart curtain walls, immersive exhibitions, commercial storefronts, and more. This breakthrough represents a significant achievement in China's smart display sector, breaking the monopoly of Korean technology and enabling domestic substitution.

Beyond interactive displays, FILMBASE showcased a series of products including liquid crystal etched glass partitions and smart liquid crystal doors and windows. During a live demonstration, the presenter revealed that with a single button press, the glass seamlessly transitions between transparent and frosted states. “Parents watching TV in the living room, children studying in the study—want to check if they're focused? A simple press lets you see through to the other side.” Through interactions between the demonstrator and students, the boundary between technology and family warmth was seamlessly bridged. FILMBASE uses a single pane of glass to achieve a new balance in family spaces: maintaining distance while preserving warmth.
In the holographic projection experience zone of the exhibition hall, students witnessed another core technology from FILMBASE—the UTD ultra-thin display film. With just a single layer of transparent film, projected images appear suspended in midair, blending virtual and real elements with vivid light and shadow effects.

In the vacuum glass experience zone, students worked in groups to touch the glass, compare temperature differences, and discuss whether vacuum can conduct heat—transforming simple hands-on activities into explorations of physical principles. Before the patent wall, they saw certificates symbolizing innovation. The guide explained, “Each patent represents the persistence of our research team after failure. Someday, perhaps your names will appear on this wall too.” The spark of scientific curiosity was ignited in that moment.
Continuing their journey, the children arrived at FILMBASE's Honor and Integrity Exhibition Area. A wall displayed a striking plaque: “National AAA-Level Integrity Enterprise.” The guide explained that integrity is not only the cornerstone of a company's foundation but also the bedrock of its innovation. The students listened intently and took careful notes. Many wrote reflections like this: “FILMBASE broke foreign technological monopolies and brought Chinese-made new materials to the world through persistence, innovation, and above all, integrity.” In that moment, their eyes sparkled with genuine admiration and pride. What they witnessed was not merely cutting-edge technology, but also an innovative spirit daring to break boundaries, a corporate ethos rooted in integrity, and the national confidence of Chinese science and technology.
This “learning experience at their doorstep” was a brief journey, yet it left lasting inspiration. At FILMBASE, the children saw the warmth of science, the power of innovation, and how integrity and perseverance propel a Chinese enterprise to the forefront of the world.
Every interaction, every touch, sparked the budding curiosity and spirit of exploration within them. FILMBASE hopes that through corporate openness and school-enterprise collaboration experiences, students can feel the charm of technology in the real world, ignite their spirit of exploration, and cultivate an interest in science and innovation.
This mutual pursuit of “technology and education” illuminated not only the physical space but also the hearts of its participants. FILMBASE believes the future of education should be illuminated in the real world—and FILMBASE remains committed to being that beacon connecting technology and education.
